Lake Heron Field Trip - August 11-13 2006
The Lake Heron field trip in August was a resounding success. A good time was had by all. One of our recent speakers and a great source of photographic inspiration, Rod Morris, joined NPS members on the trip. In addition to his inspiration and advice, Rod was able to direct field trippers to some Crested Grebes on Lake Clearwater and Lake Heron. What a wonderful sight!
The group stayed at Castleridge Station in some very comfortable shearers quarters.On Sunday morning some of them went up through to Erewhon Station to photograph the absolutely amazing vast country, with panoramic mountains all around us. It was simply magical....
